Nay Wa Mitego, born Emmanuel Elibariki Munisi on June 9, 1983, in Manzese, Dar es Salaam, is a bold Tanzanian rapper, songwriter, and activist known for socially conscious hip-hop and outspoken lyrics. He gained fame with hits like Nitasubiria, Sauti Ya Mtaa, and Wapo, using music to address politics, corruption, and everyday struggles. Widely called the “voice of the streets,” Nay Wa Mitego remains one of Tanzania’s most influential and fearless hip-hop artists.
