The Mafik

The Mafik is a rising Tanzanian Afro-pop and Bongo Flava music group originally formed by three talented vocalists — Hamadai, Rhino King, and Mbalamwezi — with a mission captured in their name meaning Progress, Wit, and Work. Known for hit singles such as “Passenger,” “Carola,” “Tunaanza Na Mungu,” “Tumia,” and “Wadudi,” the group blends Afro-pop, R&B, and soulful harmonies to create infectious East African sounds. Despite the tragic loss of one founder, The Mafik continue to make music and grow their fanbase, working with management under King Empire and digital distribution through Slide Digital. Their music is celebrated for its energetic vibes, melodic hooks, and cultural resonance across Tanzania and beyond.
