Joefes

Joefes, born Joseph Getugi Nyamweya, is a Kenyan rapper from Kisumu best known as a member of the popular Gengetone trio Mbuzi Gang. He began his music journey in the mid-2010s, releasing his debut mixtape Metamorphosis before rising to fame after signing with Black Market Records. With energetic street anthems like S2Kizzy and Hainunuki, he helped shape the Gengetone movement in Kenya. Joefes remains a key voice in East Africa’s urban and youth-driven music scene.
